Jilin Province Promotes Rapid Growth of Auto Parts Industry
On the 8th, Jilin Provincial Governor Han Changfu made a special visit to several key automotive manufacturing companies in Changchun, including Changchun Fuao-Junsen Auto Control Trim Systems Co., Ltd., Delphi Pike Electric Co., Ltd. Changchun Branch, Fuyao Group Changchun Co., Ltd., and Continental Automotive Electronics (Changchun) Co., Ltd. The purpose of the visit was to conduct on-site research and provide guidance for the development of the auto parts industry in the province.
During the inspection, Governor Han emphasized that ensuring sustained economic growth requires first safeguarding the industrial foundation. He pointed out that the most critical task for the Baoan industry is to maintain the stable and rapid development of Jilin's key industries. In light of the current signs of recovery in the auto market, he called for accelerating the development of the auto parts sector by increasing investment, expanding production capacity, and working overtime to meet rising demand. At the same time, he urged enterprises to actively explore new markets and expand their market share to drive the steady growth of the automotive industry in Jilin and contribute to the province’s overall economic progress.
At Changchun Fuao-Junsen Auto Control Trim Systems Co., Ltd., Governor Han toured the factory floor, inspecting the injection molding and foam production lines. He also visited the R&D center, where he observed airbag testing and performance evaluations of seat materials. He was pleased to see that the company had full orders for the next quarter and was operating at full capacity. He encouraged the management team to seize opportunities, boost production efficiency, improve management, and enhance innovation to secure more business and achieve greater development.
At Delphi Pike Electric Co., Ltd. Changchun Branch, the governor examined the production process and observed the real-time data system used in manufacturing. He engaged with employees, learning about their working conditions and expressing appreciation for the company’s high standards of management and quality control. He encouraged the company to continue developing its corporate culture, build a skilled workforce, and focus on product safety to further expand its market presence.
At Fuyao Group Changchun Co., Ltd., which produces automotive safety glass, Governor Han inspected the production lines for Audi and other models. He noted the company’s efforts to adapt during the financial crisis and was pleased to learn that the second phase of the joint venture was already operational. He highlighted the importance of increased investment as a key strategy to sustain growth and urged companies to remain resilient and innovative in the face of challenges.
At Continental Automotive Electronics (Changchun) Co., Ltd., Governor Han reviewed the company’s expansion into diesel and motorcycle engine components since his last visit in 2007. He praised the company’s progress and encouraged it to leverage its strengths, scale up production, and invest in R&D to strengthen its competitive edge in the global market.
Throughout the visit, Governor Han repeatedly stressed that effective industrial economic work must focus on enterprises and projects. He instructed relevant departments to establish a support system, conduct on-site research, and provide better services to help businesses overcome difficulties and achieve greater success. He also emphasized the need to ensure the smooth implementation of all growth-related tasks.
Gao Guangbin, member of the Standing Committee of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Changchun Municipal Party Committee, along with Wang Yunyu, Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, and officials from provincial and municipal departments, accompanied the governor during the inspection.
