Elliptical full corrugated dry transformer housing was successfully developed

The mechanical repair factory of Zhangzhou Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. cooperated with the Shanghai Branch of the Coal Science Research Institute to develop the most advanced mine explosion-proof KBSC series dry-type transformers. The shell is designed with the elliptical full-corrugated design based on the foreign company's product design. In the case that there is no professional manufacturer in China, the factory has successfully developed its own research and has passed the technical appraisal of experts by the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province.

The difficulty in the development of such a housing is:

1Because the end face rounding of the special V-shaped steel constituting the single ring body is close to the minimum bending radius of the plate used, when the next arc segment is bent, the shoulder of the V-shaped steel and the arc angle of the valley bottom are due to the plate. The inevitable burrs appear to shear and are prone to longitudinal and lateral cracking. At the same time, since the section of the special V-shaped steel has three arc angles, a composite elastic phenomenon occurs during bending, and the amount and angle of rebound are theoretically impossible to calculate accurately. In addition, the reasonable selection of mold gaps and calibration points, the availability of the sheets and the different batches will also affect the dimensional stability after forming.

2 For the rebound quantity and related process parameters of this special type steel bending, there is no complete and accurate theoretical calculation basis and mature experience that can be learned from the domestic, but it is necessary to ensure the correct connection of the adjacent single ring body of the housing group. Without the wrong side and wrong mouth of more than 1mm and ensuring the uniformity of the welding gap, it is necessary to ensure the compression of the V-shaped steel and the molding dimensional accuracy and shape tolerance of the steel to be semi-circular, which is the key to the development. In the process of development, they have solved many difficulties such as local cracking, strain, distortion, and inconsistent arc size after repeated tests and parameter adjustments. After the R507 arc bending and forming, a single-ring and multi-ring pair is required. In order to ensure the uniformity of the dimensions of each unit, they also design a single-ring group to tooling and multi-ring group tooling.

Both sets of tooling design use the principle of eccentric mechanism. On the one hand, it plays the role of R507 arc shaping, on the other hand, it facilitates the pick-and-place of the workpiece, which effectively improves labor efficiency and reduces the labor intensity of workers.

It is used for screening and grading of powder and pellet feed,also can be used for pre-cleaning  of raw materials in feed plants, as well as the grading of intermediate products from second crushing in large scale and medium-sized feed mills.
