Chicago working fire 1-21-14

This is from Josh Boyajian:

On January 21, 2014, a working fire broke out in the 6500 block of South Green. I was at 47th and Halsted when the call came in. As soon as the companies were dispatched, you could see the response. Engine 47 arrived first and stretched a line to the second floor. Truck Company 18 took the main to the roof and made a few ventilation holes. The fire was under control pretty quickly. Here are some of my photos from the scene.

The response was quick and well-coordinated. It's always impressive to see how efficiently the crews work together during emergencies. These images give a good sense of what it looked like on the ground that day. I'm glad I was able to capture them for reference and sharing with others who might be interested in the event.
