Maywood 3rd Alarm fire 5-26-12

The Chicago Tribune reports that: A fire broke out late Friday night in Maywood, destroying two three-story apartment buildings and displacing between 20 and 25 residents. Firefighters from a dozen surrounding communities responded to the 3-11 alarm fire on the 1000 block of 11th Avenue, battling the flames for approximately two hours. Maywood Fire Chief John Cadigan said the first alarm was triggered around 9:30 p.m., and investigators were still on the scene as late as midnight Saturday.
