Ascending, calcium carbide production of polyvinyl chloride shows a relative cost advantage. It is expected that in the coming period, the calcium carbide process is still the main production process of PVC in China.
According to the figures provided by China Chlor-Alkali Industry Association at the beginning of this year, at present, China's calcium carbide method polyvinyl chloride accounts for more than half of the national production. In 2005, the export volume reached 150,000 tons, and this year it is expected that the export volume will reach 700,000 tons.
