Magna plans to spend $81.8 million to build two new plants in the United States

In January 2013, Norplas Industries, a subsidiary of Magna Interior Systems, will spend US$75 million to build an auto parts plant in Michigan, USA.

The new plant is located in the town of Delta Township, Lansing, Michigan. The plant area will reach 350,000 square feet, including a robotic painting line and an injection molding production facility.

The investment project will bring 400 new jobs to the local area. For this purpose, the Michigan Strategic Foundation, which is affiliated with the Michigan Department of Economic Development, provided Norpla Industries with a $2 million incentive bonus.

In addition, Norplas Industrial also plans to establish a new factory in Wayne County, Michigan, and plans to employ 220 employees. In addition to the construction project in Delta Town, Norplas Industrial will invest a total of 81.8 million U.S. dollars in Michigan.
