AWS A5.20 E71T-1C is formulated to produce x-ray quality welds in flat, vertical up, horizontal, or overhead positions. This flux-cored wire is ideal for welding low carbon and mild steel, structural, and pressure vessel grades. The flux core ingredients allow for quick slag freezing, making it suitable for out-of-position welding.
The bead contour is flat to slightly convex. The slag is easy to remove, and the low spatter makes post-weld cleaning straightforward.
