Gear lubrication and oil use exchange will be held in Beijing

Recently, the first lubrication and oil exchange meeting of the China Gear Professional Association took place at the Kuntai Hotel in Beijing. Organized by the Gear Lubrication and Oil Working Committee of the association and hosted by the Great Wall Lubricant Application Research Center of Sinopec Lubricants Corporation, this event marked a significant step forward in promoting collaboration between the gear manufacturing and lubricant industries. The meeting was part of the association's 2004 work plan, following the official establishment of the Gear Lubrication and Oil Working Committee in September 2003. Its main goal is to enhance communication between gear manufacturers and lubricant suppliers, improve understanding of lubricant usage, product development, and market trends, and ultimately foster mutual growth in an increasingly competitive industry environment. Industry professionals, including experts, researchers, and technical staff from both the lubricant and gear manufacturing sectors, gathered to discuss key topics such as lubricant selection, application, and maintenance practices. Participants shared insights on how proper lubrication can significantly extend equipment life, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime. Many attendees expressed that the meeting provided valuable knowledge about lubricant fundamentals, market conditions, and practical applications. They emphasized the importance of using the right oil in production processes and making informed choices to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery. Wang Renkang, a senior advisor of the China Gear Professional Association and head of the Gear Lubrication and Oil Working Committee, praised the initiative and encouraged stronger cooperation between the two industries. Zhang Chunhui, director of the Great Wall Lubricant Application Research Center and vice-chair of the committee, called for continued efforts to advance lubrication technology and expand the scope of industry exchanges. This was the first dedicated lubrication exchange meeting held within China’s gear industry, supported by the China Gear Professional Association and local manufacturers.
