Those who have a heavy burden and who have a strong sense of social responsibility who understand the remanufacturing industry know how difficult it is. Obstacles to the concept of consumption, low skill levels, and inadequate policies are three major problems faced by the remanufacturing industry. The large investment but low profitability, the lack of previous experience and the lack of a unified old parts recovery mechanism, make many companies unwilling to get involved in the remanufacturing industry.

"The company trains service personnel every year to provide uninterrupted training. It is necessary to increase the awareness of customers of auto parts remanufactured products and to promote the remanufactured logo. Fast is the participating drafting company of "Automotive Parts Remanufacturing Product Marking Specification". As employees of remanufacturers, they clearly know that remanufacturing is different from previous repairs and is derived from repairs rather than repairs. Therefore, the testing standards for remanufactured parts are much higher than those of previous restoration standards. At the same time, Fast's transmission assembly is strictly controlled during the assembly and repair process. The factory inspection of Fast remanufactured product assembly is almost the same as the technical requirements for new products. The shift performance, sealing performance, and product appearance requirements are almost the same as new products. This ensures that Fast remanufactured products can really make users feel comfortable using them after entering the market.

The difficulties are not discouraged. "The domestic auto parts remanufacturing industry is almost equal to the gap, and there is a big gap with foreign countries. At present, China has basically not yet penetrated the core of people." Lv Juntao told the "Commercial Automotive News" reporter: "There are many difficulties. This requires the first generation remanufacturers to make considerable efforts."

As the first batch of remanufacturers who had “crabs”, Lv Juntao began contacting remanufacturing in late 2007 and early 2008. When starting other new product trials before Fast, technical personnel faced great difficulties in scientific and technological research, which required technical staff (including front-line production employees) to make great efforts.

At that time, Wei Wutao, Deputy Chief Engineer of Fast, said: “The industries we work in are much simpler than satellites and manned spacecrafts. After all, the industries we engage in are visible and touched. There is no reason why we can't do it?"

Even though they were in contact with the remanufacturing industry, the Fast people knew that they would encounter many hardships that they would have thought of and could not think of. Everyone must pay 120% of their efforts to do a good job. However, it is precisely because of the difficulty that Fast personnel believe that they can do it well. "If anyone can do it, then there is no point in the country trying this pilot. If we can't do that, then how can we contribute to China's auto industry?" said Lu Juntao.

It is this kind of confidence that has made Fast overcome one difficulty. The Fast remanufacturing system has been established little by little. The first transmission was successfully released in 2010, and now Fast has the capacity to remanufacture 200 transmissions per month. “Our staged goal is to maintain a monthly production capacity of 100 to 200 units this year. The goal in a year or two is to achieve an annual output of 15,000 transmissions.” Lu Juntao told reporters.

“Remanufacturing will become the key business of Fast in the future. Now the sales revenue of the remanufacturing business may not even reach 1%, but in the future we are confident that we can account for 20% to 30% of the Group’s sales revenue.” Li Dakai had such Say. At present, there are about 3 million FAST transmissions, of which 1.5 million are transmissions for more than three years. With the passage of time and the increase in the number of vehicles, demand for remanufacturing will increase.
