According to Korea’s “Korean Daily†report, Lishu Chemical stated on the 17th that an annual output of 100,000 tons of synthetic detergent raw material factories in Taicang City of China was formally put into production. At this point, the global production capacity of Lishu Chemical reached 280,000 tons, making it the world's third largest manufacturer of detergent raw materials. The Taicang factory is a joint venture project with a $100 million investment by Lishu Chemical and Indonesia's Sanlin Group. 50% of production will be exported to Indonesia and the rest will be supplied to the Chinese market. Lishu Chemical is studying plans to increase the production of a 100,000-ton-scale factory. Lishu Chemical said that as the popularity of washing machines in Chinese families has increased, the demand for detergents has increased by more than 10% annually.
