Autodesk BIM 360 Design Expands Global Collaboration Options With Europe Data Center

Autodesk BIM 360 Design, a key component of the Autodesk Construction Cloud, continues to evolve by introducing essential features and services. These include a new data center based in Europe, which offers primary storage for project data, as well as a seamless connection with Collaboration for Plant 3D. With users spanning over 150 countries and supporting nearly 40,000 projects, BIM 360 Design facilitates real-time collaboration among AEC professionals, whether they’re within their own company or collaborating with different firms and disciplines. The introduction of this European data center underscores the growing global adoption of BIM 360 Design and the increasing demand from Autodesk customers for greater flexibility regarding where their project data is stored. As Nicolas Mangon, vice president of Autodesk’s AEC business strategy and marketing, noted, "The rapid expansion of BIM 360 Design cloud collaboration users over the last two years reflects the escalating complexity of projects and the teams working on them. In these unprecedented times, there’s a heightened need for project continuity and the flexibility for teams to stay aligned no matter where or when they work." Interestingly, the number of BIM 360 Design subscribers in Europe has almost doubled since the start of Q1FY20, and globally, the creation of new projects in BIM 360 Design surged by approximately 350% after working conditions shifted from office to remote settings in mid-February. As part of Autodesk's global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BIM 360 Design for Revit is available for free until May 31, 2020, through Autodesk’s Extended Access Program. At Dutch architecture firm Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Alex Mortiboys, Head of BIM, expressed their commitment to enhancing design efficiency. He stated, "We’ve placed cloud-based collaboration at the heart of our operations. The assurance of a European data center allows us to broaden our reach, proposing BIM 360 Design to both public and private clients across Europe and beyond. This move will enable us to offer greater efficiency and transparency to our clients." In addition to the European data center, BIM 360 Design now integrates with the AutoCAD Plant 3D toolset. By joining BIM 360 Design for Revit and Civil 3D in the cloud, Collaboration for Plant 3D empowers plant designers and engineers to manage access permissions more effectively, ensuring project teams can securely share files and collaborate seamlessly across time zones, disciplines, or multiple organizations. Dave Reed, Technology Manager at Black & Veatch, highlighted the benefits of this integration. He mentioned, "With AutoCAD Plant 3D integration, the BIM 360 platform now serves as a unified hub for all work-in-progress data, streamlining access for our global project teams. This setup enhances both internal and external collaboration and communication without requiring specialized IT systems." Throughout their digital transformation journey, Black & Veatch’s partnership with Autodesk has been crucial to their achievements. Screw Elements and Segmented Barrel

1. Do not start the machine when the screw has not reached the preset temperature. 2. Prevent metal fragments and debris from falling into the hopper. If processing recycled materials, a magnetic hopper must be added to prevent iron filings from entering the hopper. 3. When using anti-salvation, make sure that the plastic in the barrel is completely melted, so as not to damage the transmission system parts when the screw retreats.
