Autodesk Details Subscription Transition for New Software Licenses

Public Company Information: NASDAQ: ADSK SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Today, Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) announced that starting February 1, 2016, new commercial seats of most standalone desktop software products will only be available through a Desktop Subscription model. This move marks another step in Autodesk’s ongoing shift toward subscription-based offerings, which aim to simplify product management, reduce upfront costs, and allow customers to pay as they go. “We’re witnessing a transformation in how the world is designed and built, and how software is delivered,” said Andrew Anagnost, Senior Vice President of Industry Strategy & Marketing at Autodesk. “Companies that adapt to these changes will lead their industries into a more connected and innovative future. Our customers have consistently asked for more flexibility and value from their software investments, and the shift to subscriptions allows us to deliver exactly that.” The Desktop Subscription offers a streamlined experience for installation, management, and upgrades, along with flexible payment options and access across multiple devices. Autodesk plans to continuously enhance these offerings, integrating them more closely with cloud services and improving compatibility between files. Customers who purchased perpetual licenses before February 1, 2016, will still be able to use those licenses. Those on Maintenance Subscriptions will continue receiving benefits as long as their subscription remains active. Cloud Services Subscriptions will also remain available. “With this announcement, we are giving our customers a full year to prepare for the transition,” added Anagnost. “We’re committed to being transparent and working closely with our partners and clients to ensure a smooth shift to the new model.” For more details about the changes and available subscription options, visit [http://www.autodesk.com/perpetuallicenses](http://www.autodesk.com/perpetuallicenses). **Safe Harbor Statement** This press release includes forward-looking statements that involve risks and uncertainties.
