FDIC 2015
I just got back from FDIC International in Indianapolis, which is hands down the biggest firefighting training event in the world. It was an incredible experience, and I managed to snap quite a few photos while I was there.
Here’s a quick glimpse into what I saw:
This year’s show had some real head-turners, like the stunning Rosenbauer exhibit. One of the standout pieces was this Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Engine 3, which pays tribute to the 343 FDNY members who lost their lives on 9/11. The black striping running through the rig has the names of all those fallen heroes.
Meanwhile, Larry Shapiro pointed out something interesting about another exhibit. Turns out, the new engine for Mokena, showcased at the Alexis booth, was the only northern Illinois rig on display this year. Big thanks to Josh for catching that detail!
