Autodesk transforme le modèle de gestion de l’éducation afin d’améliorer les aptitudes de pointe aux États-Unis et au Canada

Autodesk, a leading company in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, has announced a new initiative to provide free access to its professional 3D design software and creative applications for schools across the United States and Canada. This move marks another significant step in the company’s ongoing commitment to education and its mission of empowering students and educators to imagine, design, and create a better world. The program is part of Autodesk’s broader effort to support the development of skills in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). With an investment exceeding $460 million, the initiative aims to equip teachers at over 35,000 K-12 schools and higher education institutions with the tools they need to inspire the next generation of innovators. “Accessibility to 3D design and manufacturing technologies is transforming the fields of design, engineering, and entertainment,” said Tom Joseph, Chief Education Officer at Autodesk. “With mobile and cloud-based technologies, anyone can design anytime, anywhere. Today’s students are shaping tomorrow’s industries, and we’re committed to giving them the tools to succeed.” This initiative follows a recent commitment made by Autodesk to support President Obama’s ConnectEd program in the U.S., expanding its Design the Future initiative to help improve STEAM education and prepare students for future careers. Since 2006, students and educators have also had access to individual software licenses through the Autodesk Education Community. At Rochester Institute of Technology, faculty members like Alex Lobos, an assistant professor of industrial design, have seen firsthand how access to industry-standard tools like Autodesk Fusion 360 helps students develop critical skills. “It teaches them how to adapt to an ever-changing industry and collaborate effectively across disciplines—skills they’ll need once they graduate,” he said. Kent Ganevsky, a middle school teacher and early adopter of the Design the Future program, noted that students become more engaged when they can experiment, model, and animate in 3D using Autodesk tools. “By integrating these real-world applications into the classroom, we're not only preparing them for college but also for the workforce,” he added.
