Wan Gang said that China's development goal in the new energy industry is very clear. During the China International Forum on Automotive Industry Development, Wangang repeatedly stressed that the development of new energy vehicles will be related to the future development of China's auto industry, and decide whether China's auto industry can successfully break through the current difficulties and realize the key to transformation. He stressed that in the future, the development of new energy vehicles must first strengthen technology research and development and innovation, and participate in comprehensive competition on the basis of improving core technologies.
In addition, he made four suggestions for the future development strategy of new energy vehicles. First of all, we must adhere to the market orientation, stimulate the vitality of enterprises, guide enterprises to increase investment in technology research and development through shareholding policy formulation and subsidy support, so that enterprises become the main body of strengthening cooperation between industry, universities and research institutes, and strengthen cooperation between industry, universities and research institutes to become effective in enterprise systems. Internally, we must encourage enterprises to strengthen research on new energy, reduce costs, and actively promote the industrialization and commercialization of new energy vehicles.
Second, we must optimize the market environment and remove institutional obstacles. On the other hand, we must improve standards, improve regulations, and strictly supervise, and focus on removing barriers to local protection.
The third is to build a public platform, improve the innovation system, increase the government's continuous investment in research on new energy vehicles and key common technologies, and timely adjust and optimize the capital investment structure of science and technology in the long-term development of strategic layout, personnel training and economic construction. It is necessary to increase technical research, cutting-edge exploration, and research on key technologies of commonality, and establish a stable and sustained support system. At the same time, we must also encourage management innovation and improve the collaborative innovation model established by enterprises and university research institutions.
Fourth, we must strengthen international cooperation and promote international exchanges. On the one hand, the government will continue to strengthen cooperation with the China-US New Energy Center and the specific government agreement on Sino-German electric vehicle strategic partners. At the same time, it is necessary to promote commercial cooperation between automobile companies, strengthen research and development of commercial marketization, accelerate the mutual development of technologies, and promote mutual integration of markets.
