Skoda, however, dropped one position to number nine after experiencing an 8.5% decline in sales. Their 2022 numbers fell to 538,623 units from 588,863 in 2021. Despite this setback, Skoda’s parent company, Volkswagen Group, continued to dominate as the top carmaker in Europe.
